Belarus’ permanent farm machinery expo opens in Yerevan

A permanent exposition of the Belarusian farm machinery and equipment opened near the Armenian and Belarusian trading house Ar-Be in Yerevan on 15 March, BelTA learnt from the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The exhibition displays the products of the Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units, Lidselmash, Lidagroprommash, Tekhmash, Selagro, Bobruiskagromash, Minsk Bearing Plant, Smorgon Assembly Works, and Minsk Tractor Plant.

The exhibition was opened by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Stepan Sukhorenko. Attending the event were Chief of the Multi-Group Concern Garik Tsarukyan, heads of Armenian ministries and departments, businessmen, foreign diplomats. Partaking in the ceremony on Belarus’ behalf were representatives of the Foreign and Industry Ministries, and the Belgospishcheprom Concern.

On 15 March Yerevan also hosted Belarusian-Armenian ministerial consultations. The sides discussed bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, humanitarian, regional areas as well as within international organizations. The sides also discussed collaboration between the Foreign Ministries. “The participants of the meeting praised a high level of bilateral relations and similar positions of the two countries on many international issues of current importance, stressing active cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Armenia,” the Foreign Ministry of Belarus said.

The Belarusian party was represented by Nikolai Demchuk, Chief of the CIS Affairs Department of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus, Andrei Savinykh, Chief of the Information Department, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of Belarus, and Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Stepan Sukhorenko.
