Tractor Belarus-421 in CambodiaThe tests were carried out by the Cambodian company HDP Import & Export with assistance of specialists of the Belarusian company. The tractor was used with various mounted and trailed agricultural instruments, which are used by local farmers for rice cultivation. Despite minor remarks the tractor earned a positive opinion of local agriculture experts. The contract to deliver a batch of Bobruisk-made tractors to Cambodia confirms it.
The decision to develop and manufacture the tractor was made by the company after the Cambodian company delegation visited the Bobruisk-based enterprise in early April 2013. During the visit the Cambodian side formulated several requirements regarding the design and operational parameters of such tractors.
In view of the requirements Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units made the new tractor on the basis of Belarus 422.1 model. Taking into account Cambodia’s climate instead of the cab the tractor has a safety rollover cage with a tent. The tractor is powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine, uses a 4x4 wheel configuration as well as increased-size tires in addition to several other design solutions.
Founded in 1945, Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units is part of the industrial group Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark).
