Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units turns out tractors fitted with MMZ engines

22 august 2013 года

Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units has manufactured the first batch of Belarus 320.4M small-size tractors fitted with engines produced by Minsk Motor Plant (MMZ trademark)

The company turned out 10 new tractors that will be shipped to Belarusian customers by the end of the month.
The production of Belarus 320.4M tractors is part of the company’s import substitution strategy. These tractors are different from the mainstream tractors Belarus 320, because the former are equipped with MMZ-3LD engines produced by Minsk Motor Plant. Previously all Belarus 320 tractors were equipped with LDW1603/B3 engines made by Italian company Lombardini. The 3-cylinder MMZ-3LD diesel engines have the power range from 32 hp to 42 hp and cylinder capacity of 1.6 liters.
The use of Belarus-made engines allowed Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units to reduce the prime cost of tractors. The company’s marketing service projects an increased demand for the new tractors in Belarus and Russia. Therefore, there are plans to produce another batch of these tractors by the end of August.
Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units was founded in 1945. Since 1972 it has been part of Minsk Tractor Works. The company offers nine main models and municipal vehicles based on them. Apart from small-size tractors Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units offers a large choice of components, parts for Belarus tractors made by Minsk Tractor Works as well as a large range of disk wheels and rims for tractors and agricultural machines. The company’s tractors can be found in over 40 countries worldwide
