First Belarusian machinery showroom open in French Troyes

The first center to showcase and sell Belarusian machines opened in the French city of Troyes, Champagne-Ardenne Region on 24 September, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France Pavel Latushko, who took part in the center’s opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony gathered representatives of the regional authorities, the customs service of France, French businessmen, the Belarusian Industry Ministry, several agricultural machinery manufacturers, in particular, Minsk Tractor Works, Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units, Gomselmash, Belagromash, and farmer associations of France.
The showroom features 13 tractors with the capacity varying from 95hp to 355hp made by Minsk Tracror Works, six tractors made by Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Units, and agricultural equipment made by Belagromash. Visitors were made familiar with the center and with products of the Belarusian agricultural mechanical engineering industry. Negotiations on signing contracts to buy Belarusian machines were held. Positive changes in the growth of Belarusian export to France this year were noted.
A new headquarters of the French company Podia, which is an official dealer of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) and several Belarusian industrial enterprises in France, was opened. In line with the relevant MTZ-Podia agreement a dealership chain will be created in 2013-2014 to sell Belarusian tractors and other agricultural machines in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and several Africa and Latin America countries. Podia Company has established cooperation with ten Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturers. The company specializes in international trade in agricultural machines, agribusiness products, provides consulting and engineering services. The company focuses on promoting Belarusian tractors in France and other countries.
Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ trademark) and Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) are in negotiations with French partners discussing possibilities for supplying their products to the French market.
